1. How do I add/delete players and coaches to my roster during the season?
To add a player to your roster during the season, submit a completed player pass, parent signature sheet, LIJSL add/delete form, completed HBC Travel Registration form and a check in the amount of $100.00 made payable to the HBC Soccer Club. Place the items listed above in an envelope (write your team name, contact name and telephone number on the envelope) and place it in the plastic box on the front porch of Jim Neuburger...HBC Travel Director @ 93 Beechwood Street, Farmingdale, NY 11735 NO LATER than 8:00pm on the Sunday preceeding the weekend for which you need the pass. If your paperwork is not dropped off by 8:00pm on the Sunday, you will NOT get the pass for the following weekend as I must have enough time to enter the players information on our master spreadsheet, "upload" the amended roster to Sportsignup and bring the completed paperwork to the LIJSL offices no later than 3:00pm on Tuesday. Do NOT ask me to "do you a favor" ..there can be NO exceptions to this procedure as we must adhere to the LIJSL requirements.
To delete a player from your roster during the season, submit an LIJSL add/delete form along with a "drop player form" signed by the players parent. Place the items listed above in an envelope (write your team name, contact name and telephone number on the envelope) and place it in the plastic box on the front porch of Jim Neuburger...HBC Travel Director @ 93 Beechwood Street, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
You can click on the link to obtain a copy of a letter from the LONG ISLAND JUNIOR SOCCER LEAGUE outlining the regulations that have been provided to our club for adding and deleting players during the season. This procedure applies to "NEW" players only. Transfers (players who have been rostered with another club to start the season) must be handled in a different manner.
2. I am a coach, how do I register with Risk Management?
All coaches must have a pass in order to be on the players sideline during a game. In order to obtain a pass, all coaches must first complete Risk Management. This is done through an agency contracted by Eastern New York Youth Soccer and has nothing to do with the HBC Soccer Club.
Click RISK MANAGEMENT and you will be brought to the website, register and complete the form. If you are accepted, you will receive an email within a day or two stating that you "have been accepted". This message must be printed out and submitted with your pass, Green for a permanent pass, Pink for a temporary, and an add/delete form.
ENYYSA will contact you if your background check reports either a criminal record or does not verify your personal information. During the time it takes to communicate with you to obtain the correct information, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCCER ACTIVITIES. Therefore, you are advised to CAREFULLY review the information you are submitting.
ENYYSA recognizes that not everyone wants to go through their on-line risk management registration system. Attached is a link to their Alternate Background Check Procedure.
3. What is the difference between a Yellow Coaches Pass and a Blue Coaches Pass?
The Blue pass is only for coaches who have previously coached and/or taken a coaches orientation class run by the LI Junior Soccer League. If you have not yet taken the course and have never had a permanent pass, you may only obtain a yellow pass, which will expire at the end of season in which you are coaching. You cannot renew a temporary pass. If you take the class during the season, complete a blue permanent pass, and place it in the HBC box on the front porch of 93 Beechwood Street, Farmingdale, NY 11735 ALONG WITH the temporary yellow pass. You cannot obtain a permanent pass without turning in the temporary.
